Most people have a sweet tooth and, when you are dieting,
the craving for a sweet treat can become quite strong. So, what do you do
when your sweet tooth starts to tempt you toward an unhealthy, sugar loaded
snack? Well, the good news is that there are plenty of tasty treats that you
can enjoy that won’t blow your diet or leave you feeling guilty. Here are ten
healthy snacks that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Fruit

start with the obvious! Fruit is probably the healthiest way to curb your
appetite for something sweet. High fibre, nutritious and low in calories, fruit
makes a handy snack that can be eaten anyway and if you get bored, you can mix
it up and make a fruit salad.

Chocolate dipped strawberries
If
you love chocolate than chocolate dipped strawberries are the healthiest way to
enjoy a chocolaty treat. They taste delicious, but the bulk of what you are
eating is still fresh fruit, so it’s a great way to be the cravings, without
the guilt.

Smoothies
Mix
up some bananas, frozen strawberries and some milk, and it tastes just like a
luxury strawberry milkshake. Smoothies are a great way to enjoy a healthy,
sweet snack, but be careful what other ingredients you add to the fruit!

Baked apples with cinnamon
A
baked apple, sprinkled with cinnamon, is the perfect snack for the winter. Make
it extra special by coring the apple and stuffing with some dried fruit like
raisins.

Peel

up some Greek yoghurt and mix in some fresh berries, so the berries break up in
the yoghurt. Spoon the mixture, in individual drops, onto a lined baking sheet
and then place in the freezer for a couple hours. You will them some delicious,

Eat
in moderation and you can enjoy dark chocolate as an occasional treat. Only
dark chocolate though, because it does not contain the added fat and sugar that
classic milk chocolate does.
